No Gray Hair over Greywater

Lots of interesting news on greywater this week. I have several favorites, but this article on salon guru Paul Mitchell and his training center installing a greywater system is where I will start.

"The new Paul Mitchell the School in Costa Mesa sends the wastewater generated from their classwork to a filtration system that purifies 500 gallons of spent water daily and reuses it to flush the school's toilets"..."Designed by Gray Water Recycling Systems in Redondo Beach, the school's gray water system is the first to be used at a Paul Mitchell school. It is designed to divert 400,000 gallons of wastewater each year from the sewer, and, as a result, to reduce the need to import fresh water for toilet flushing".

If Gray Water Recycling Systems sounds familiar, it should. This is the same outfit that built Green Living Guru Ed Begley's system described in this posting.

My youngest brother does consulting work with Paul Mitchell and speaks very highly of them as responsible corporate citizens. Check out their webpage for more information on their green agenda.

If I had hair, I would purchase Paul Mitchell products to show support for the effort at reusing water. Thanks, Paul, for your investment in the planet, and thanks Buzz for making your greywater systems available to the Hollywood jet set.
