The Colors of Poo

News and events covering greywater reuse have been few and far between this past couple of weeks so in the spirit of a follow-up to The Geographies of Shit, the Rainbow Water Coalition continues the public service stories on the colors of things. Building upon the extensive analyses of the colors of water, waste, Hughiesgreywater threat levels, data, carbon, ice, and covert operations, the RWC offers a more extensive analysis of blackwater in all its forms (see also sidebar) through the colors of poo.

Golden Poo. This color of poo has many connections. Perhaps most famous as the award for the worst company in the America by the consumer watchdog Consumerist. The 2011 Golden Poo award goes to BP. Golden poo trophies are also awarded to those special people who excel at stand up toilet humor. And Golden poo (Kin no Unko) is a good luck charm in Japan.

Silver Poo. The first ever 2011 Silver Poo award goes to Consumerist's second place winner -  Bank of America.

Rainbow Colors of Poo. It should come as no surprise that someone in cyberland collects the *scoop on poop*, including data, songs, humor, historical notes, etc. which can be viewed at SmellyPoop.com. Seriously, this is a public service website where one can learn more about health and well-being, as well as send a friend a greeting card, or *buy some crap*...
