New Top Greywater University

Applalachian State University.  According to this press release, former hair stylist now appropriate technology major Bobbie Jo Swinson won an EPA P3 (People, Prosperity and the Planet) grant to study the effectiveness of a small constructed wetland to treat water from the shampoo bowls in the local Haircut 101 salon and analyze the chemicals and amount of water entering the waste stream. They will then run the salon’s gray water through a living system modified from a system originally constructed as part of the Appalachian State University’s biofuels project at State Farm Road in Boone, North Carolina. Another reason to enroll in the top 100 best college buy school.
