Bottled Water Brushoff, Redux

Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) reports that Governor Brown has had enough of the Nestle situation tapping state *resources* and requested the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife withdraw a request for a water rights transfer (aka exchange application). This was somewhat surprising news given the perception within the greater Oregon *environmental* community that Governor Brown was not friendly to *conservation*.

Recall the past postings on the RWC here and here for the rest of the story.  The Oregonian came out with their own video summary here.

Apparently Governor Brown sees value in directing state resources toward economic development in Cascade Locks given the Eagle Creek fire that closed the Columbia River Gorge for awhile.

Here's an opportunity for Nestle to join a new research enterprise exploring for previously untapped groundwater - offshore!
